Citizens for NYC mobilizes New Yorkers to improve their neighborhoods in the areas of urban environment and beautification, safety, poverty, neighborhood diversity, youth-led community service and youth entrepreneurship. They help New Yorkers build strong neighborhood volunteer groups that solve local problems, providing small grants, workshops, self-help information, and assistance to more than 12,000 grassroots volunteer groups throughout the city's five boroughs.

The Foundation Center of New York (FCNY) maintains a complete searchable database of foundations, corporate givers, and grantmaking public charities, as well as IRS documents filed by every U.S. grantmaking foundation. FCNY offers free access to information through our five library/learning centers and a national network of cooperating collections. In addition, FCNY offer a wide range of free and fee-based training programs and a variety of publications designed to help grantseekers. Free orientations are held during the week.
The Foundation Center has launched an online learning community for the social sector. GrantSpace provides free access to information and resources available to anyone seeking grants on behalf of nonprofit organizations.
Resources featured on GrantSpace are organized under the 13 most common subject areas of funding research — including health, education, and the arts — so visitors can easily access the most relevant content. Visitors are also offered the option of approaching the content by focusing on a particular skill they want to hone, including proposal writing, corporate fundraising, and collaboration. Video and audio recordings of onsite Foundation Center presentations, along with links to the most relevant FAQs in the extensive Knowledge Base, accompany each topic. The "Ask Us" link on each page connects visitors to expert assistance from Foundation Center staff via live chat or e-mail.

National Center for Charitable Statistics is the national clearinghouse of data on the nonprofit sector in the United States.
The Service Atlas lists over 7,000 nonprofit organizations in New York City which provides direct services - everything from day care centers to museums. And you can search by address, zip code, neighborhood, or other geographic areas.
Nonprofit Coordinating Committee of New York helps nonprofits meet common challenges and problems, to serve as a meeting ground and to strengthen the nonprofit sector as a whole.
The Nonprofit Finance Fund (NFF) is a national leader in social enterprise finance, focusing on the capitalization needs of nonprofit organizations. NFF provides capital and advice to nonprofit organizations, helping them plan and implement sustainable growth and improve their capacity to serve their communities. NFF financial services include loans, asset-building financial products, and credit enhancement; advisory services include hands-on workshops and the NFF Nonprofit Business Analysis.
