Lawyers Alliance for New York

Founded in 1969, Lawyers Alliance for New York (LANY) is a leading provider of free and low-cost business and transactional legal services to nonprofit and community development organizations that are working to improve the quality of life in New York City's low-income and disadvantaged neighborhoods.  LANY staff attorneys and volunteers provide legal services to nonprofit organizations, including corporate, tax, real estate, employment, and other services important to ensuring legal compliance.  LANY offers workshops and seminars, distributes publications, and provides one-on-one consultations all designed to educate nonprofit managers about the legal issues they face.
