New York Foundation Year in Review

We are pleased to share our 2022 Year in Review, which is a snapshot of our support for grassroots organizing and power-building in communities across NYC. Last year, NYF leveraged almost $7.5 million to advance racial, economic, gender, and climate justice in the city, state, and beyond.

We were proud to support 45 grassroots organizations with multi-year general operating support grants with an emphasis on groups who have been historically overlooked and under-resourced by philanthropy: BIPOC-led, trans-led, and start-up organizations.

We also provided additional support for city and statewide coalitions and campaigns, capacity-building and technical assistance, organizing training, and more – all with the goal of ensuring organizing groups and movements have the tools and resources they need to build power and sustain their work.

Check out the powerful groups we support and join us funding organizing groups like we want them to win!
