Workshops and Trainings
Throughout the year, grantee partners are invited to participate in a series of workshops to address their organizational needs. Workshops provide an opportunity for you to learn in a setting with your peers and to learn from experts who have a commitment to social justice. New York Foundation offers its workshops through the New York City Capacity Building Collaborative, a partnership with 12 other foundations. Below is a list of the Collaborative members.
Due to social distancing restrictions resulting from the COVID-19 health crisis, all workshops are being held virtually. In 2020, webinar topics included:
- Creating safety in the workplace to address sexual harassment management and supervision with an equity lens.
- Membership development and community organizing.
- Financial management and scenario planning.
- Grassroots fundraising.
- City Hall advocacy.
- Facilitation with an anti-oppression lens.
Some of the workshops offer follow-up one-on-one consultations to help you apply what you learn.
